Morro de São Paulo is one of five villages on Tinharé Island in the municipality of Cairu, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. The main beaches of Morro de São Paulo are on the east side of the island and are, in order: Primeira Praia (First Beach), Segunda Praia (Second Beach), Terceira Praia (Third Beach), Quarta Praia (Fourth Beach), and Quinta Praia (Fifth Beach), also known as Praia do Encanto (Enchantment Beach). The village is 272 km from the city of Salvador by road and about 60 km by sea. The only way to reach the island is by boat or by charter flights from Salvador’s airport to the local airstrip, or by regular flights to Valença Airport followed by a boat transfer.
