Day 1:

Arrival in Naples on your own. Check in at the hotel and day at your disposal. Overnight stay.

Day 2:

After breakfast at your hotel, pick-up at 08:10 AM approx. and be ready for this full-day regular excursion. Explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii with the local guide, then hike to the summit of Mt. Vesuvius and peer into the crater. In Pompeii, visit the excavations: the Forum, Thermal Baths, Vetti’s house, and Lupanare, all burnt by volcanic ashes during the eruption in 79 A.D. After Pompeii, drive up Mt. Vesuvius and stop in a local restaurant for a typical Italian light lunch (water included). Then, our driver brings you to 1000 m altitude. From there, walk to the top of the volcano to see the crater. At the summit, enjoy the explanation by a professional guide of the National Park or explore independently. Admire the summit of Mount Somma (1133 m) and the cone of Vesuvius (1281 m), separated by the Valley of the Giant. Mt. Vesuvius is majestic and stunning. It is absolutely worth visiting. Return to your hotel in Naples at 04:30 PM approx. Overnight stay.
